What is Counselling?
Everyone goes through difficult situations in life, and counselling provides a confidential, safe and nurturing environment for you to navigate your way through them.
My role is to support you by exploring your worries and concerns together, and helping you find your
way through.
What to Expect
Confidentiality is an important principle of counselling. As a trainee counsellor, there are times when I will write or talk about aspects of my counselling sessions with my tutors and supervisor. I may also ask if you would allow me to record the sessions, and these too may be reviewed by my tutors and supervisor. These measures are only taken for my own training purposes and are always done in a way that protects your identity and privacy. But if there are serious concerns for your safety, or somebody else’s safety, then these limits of confidentiality may need to be extended.
